2009 Nebbiolo
Called Chiavennasca in Valtellina and Spanna in Gattinara, Nebbiolo is arguably Italy’s most revered wine grape. After 20 years of planting, tweeking, grafting, talking to winemakers from Barbaresco/Barolo and gleaning everything possible about this crazy variety, we present our fourth release. This is perhaps finally the wine that shows what is possible in Oregon and the New World. With classic aromas of dried cherries, anise and tar and signature “sand on the teeth” that only Nebbiolo exhibits, this wine will remind you of the real deal.
